Welcome to Lori’s Light

A space to share faith, healing, and hope through the journey of loss and love — inspired by AJ’s life and the light he continues to shine.

Here, you’ll find reflections on finding peace through faith, navigating grief with grace, and remembering that even in the darkest moments, God’s light remains.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Lori’s Light: A Mother’s Journey Through Grief and Grace

I never imagined I’d be walking this path — learning how to live with a piece of my heart in Heaven.

When my son AJ left this world in 2023, my days became a blur of questions, silence, and prayer. There were moments when I didn’t know how to breathe, let alone believe. But slowly, God began to meet me in the quiet. Through tears, through sunsets, through my grandchildren’s laughter — His light started breaking through the darkness.

Lori’s Light was born from that journey. It’s a space where faith and grief meet grace — where I can share what God continues to reveal about healing, love, and hope after loss.

If you’ve ever lost someone, you’re not alone here. I’ve learned that grief doesn’t end — it transforms. It teaches us to see Heaven not as far away, but as a promise.

My prayer is that through AJ’s story and the light he left behind, others will find courage to believe again — to see that love never dies, and that even in the hardest moments, God is still good.

About Alan K. Earles Jr.

Memorial tribute for AJ with a background of a sunrise or sunset and a cross.

AJ was a son, brother. father, friend and a light that continues to guide our family. His kindness, laughter, and memory live on through his children, Isabella and Caleb — and through every story shared here. Lori’s Light exists because his love still leads us closer to God.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. ~Psalms 147:3
